NOC

Network Operation Center (NOC) is a monitoring and controlling center equipped with powerful hardware and software tools and managed by dedicated support engineers. Operating in 24 by 7, NOC facilities are responsible for the technical and operational overview of all broadcast network services, including monitoring, correcting, and troubleshooting day-to-day issues. It is designed to control ACDNetwork contents playing back on network enabled servers and OLDAs, to monitor, identify, solve and record any kind of encountered network problems.
The location housing a NOC also contains many or all of the primary servers and other equipment essential to running the network. Main services that NOC provides are as follows,
- Control video server playback
- Media storage
- Automation servers
- Off air channel monitoring
- Encryption and scrambling
- Serial Digital Video, ASI, Multiplexed and DVB data streams technical monitoring
- Networking
- Opening tickets to track and document resolution of problems
- Monitoring all backbone links and network devices
