IDM (Interactive Digital Media) of MDA (Media Development Authority of Singapore) has awarded us Research Grant for doing advanced research and development in building game technologies that create more realistic gaming experience. Our vision is to build unique games, distinctive in graphics and user experience. Three of the key focus areas in game development for our R&D in the next couple of years will be: Realistic Terrains, Game Networking and Game Ecosystem.
We aim to design and build an ecosystem model to realistically simulate and render the ecosystem. The primary research objective will be to develop algorithms for resource management for complex ecosystem in wild worlds and algorithms for intelligent behavior of the wildlife.
Industrial Support
IDGT & IMI-NTU are setting up a Technology Resource Center to provide support for the digital game and animation industry in Asia. The center is locate at Nanyanyang Technology IDGT/IMI campus, in Singapore.The Technology Resource Center will offer support for the local digital game and animation industry with access to our facility, technology, and research & development.
